Concept Art for Paws for a Cause Short

I took some life references of my dog Sophie (a Chihuahua/French Bull dog mix) and Corgi and just had fun with creating strange faces and reactions.

Dog sketches/designs. Testing out the emotions dogs can express and played with whatever breed looked the saddest. The pug was chosen.

Shiba Inu's have this cute rounded visage that would have been a great fit, if they weren't so large. We decided to keep the breed small so that they can seem more vulnerable and of need of protection.

Male character designs. I liked the idea of giving him a large nose but soft features to give him not only a youthful look but pleasant disposition.
